These terms govern your use of fijinanny.com, operated by Fiji Meimei Care ("we", "us", "our"). By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
The most important thing to understand: Fiji Meimei Care is a directory and introduction service. The Meimei listed here are independent professionals who run their own childcare services. We facilitate introductions between families and Meimei — we do not employ the Meimei, do not deliver the care, do not process the payment, and are not party to the contract you form with the Meimei you book.
What we provide
We provide a directory of vetted Fijian childcare professionals. Our role is limited to:
- Screening and verifying the credentials of the Meimei listed on this site (see our screening standard)
- Displaying their profiles, qualifications, and reviews
- Providing tools (such as the search widget and WhatsApp contact links) to help you find and contact them
- Responding to your questions about the directory
What we do not provide
- We do not provide childcare services. The Meimei do.
- We do not employ the Meimei, and they are not our agents or representatives.
- We do not handle payment for childcare. Any payment arrangement is between you and the Meimei you book.
- We do not guarantee any particular Meimei will be available on your requested dates.
- We do not guarantee the quality of any individual care session, only the verified credentials of the caregiver.
- We are not party to any contract or arrangement you form with a Meimei.
Your contract with the Meimei
When you contact a Meimei through this directory and book her services, you enter into a direct contract with her — not with us. The terms of that contract (rates, hours, scope of care, cancellation, refund, etc.) are between you and her.
We strongly recommend:
- Discussing rates, hours, and what's included in writing via WhatsApp before the booking begins
- Confirming the Meimei's insurance details if your child has specific medical conditions
- Sharing relevant medical, dietary, and routine information with the Meimei in writing
- Keeping a record of the agreed booking terms
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally responsible for the children you are arranging care for. By using this site to book care, you confirm:
- You are the parent, guardian, or have lawful authority to arrange childcare for the children involved
- The information you provide to us and to the Meimei is accurate
- You have read and understood our About page and screening standard
Our limitations of liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any act, omission, conduct, or service quality of any Meimei. The Meimei is solely responsible for the care she provides.
- We are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or harm arising during or in connection with childcare services booked through this directory.
- We are not liable for the accuracy of information provided by the Meimei in her profile (we verify what we can, but we rely on the Meimei to truthfully represent her experience and history).
- Our total liability to you, in connection with use of this site or our directory service, is limited to FJ$50 or the maximum permitted by law, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law. If you are a consumer in Australia, the Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply to the extent they cover digital information services — but they do not apply to childcare delivered by the Meimei, who are not our agents.
Reviews and content
When you submit a review of a Meimei, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to display, edit (for length and clarity, never for meaning), and use that review on our directory and related marketing.
You agree your review will:
- Reflect your genuine experience
- Not name children or share photos without their parent's consent
- Not defame the Meimei or anyone else
- Not contain harassment, profanity, or unlawful content
We may remove reviews that breach these standards or that we cannot verify came from a real client.
Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, design, code, branding — is owned by Fiji Meimei Care or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.
The Meimei retain ownership of their own profile photos and bios. They have granted us a licence to display them as part of this directory.
Changes to the directory
We may add, remove, or change Meimei listings at any time. A Meimei may be removed from our directory if she no longer meets our standards, has been the subject of substantiated complaints, requests removal, or for any other reason at our discretion.
We may also update, change, or discontinue features of this site at any time without notice.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use this directory to contact Meimei for purposes other than genuine childcare booking enquiries
- Scrape, copy, or systematically harvest information from this site
- Attempt to bypass our security measures or interfere with the site's operation
- Submit false reviews or impersonate other users
- Contact Meimei for any purpose connected to harm, exploitation, or trafficking — we will report such contact to Fiji Police immediately and cooperate fully with any investigation
Disputes
If you have a dispute with a Meimei, the dispute is between you and her. We are not party to it. We will help where we reasonably can — for example, by facilitating communication or, where appropriate, removing a Meimei's listing if a serious complaint is substantiated.
If you have a dispute with us about your use of this site, please contact us first to try to resolve it. These terms are governed by the laws of Fiji, and any dispute that cannot be resolved by agreement will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Fiji.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when they were last revised. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms. Significant changes will be flagged on our homepage.
