This privacy policy explains how Fiji Meimei Care ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit fijinanny.com or interact with us through WhatsApp or other channels.
We're a small, locally-operated directory based in Fiji. We've kept this policy plain and short because we want you to actually read it.
What information we collect
We collect very little. Specifically:
- Information you submit through our enquiry widget — region, your children's ages, dates of intended visit. This is used to help filter our directory.
- Information you share when contacting us — when you message us on WhatsApp or email us, we'll see your name, phone number, and whatever you write to us.
- Basic analytics — pages you visit, your country and device type. We use this to understand which Meimei are most viewed and which pages are useful. We don't track individuals.
We do not collect payment information. All payments for childcare services happen directly between you and the Meimei you contact — we are not involved in those transactions.
How we use it
- To help you find a Meimei that suits your needs
- To respond to messages or enquiries you send us
- To improve the directory based on what visitors find useful
- To follow up after a booking, if you've used a Meimei from our directory, to ask if you'd like to leave a review
We do not sell your information to anyone. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Who we share it with
We share information only when necessary to deliver our service:
- The Meimei you choose to contact — when you message a Meimei through this directory, that conversation is directly between you and her. She will see your phone number and whatever you tell her.
- Service providers we use — our website hosting (Cloudflare), email service, and analytics tools may have access to limited data needed to run the site. They are bound by their own privacy obligations.
- Where required by law — if Fiji authorities or a court order require us to share information, we will comply.
We don't share information with the other Meimei in our directory. If you contact Meimei A and later contact Meimei B, neither knows about the other.
How we store it
Information you provide is stored on secure systems we use to run our business (our email, WhatsApp, and a small contact database). Our website runs on Cloudflare infrastructure, which uses industry-standard encryption.
We keep enquiry information for as long as is reasonable for our business — typically 2 years from your last contact with us. After that, we delete identifying details and keep only anonymous summary statistics.
Cookies
This website uses minimal cookies — essentially just what's needed for the site to work. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If we add analytics in future that uses cookies (such as Google Analytics or similar), we will update this policy and provide a cookie notice.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for parents and guardians arranging childcare. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. If a parent provides information about a child's age (for example, when filtering for an age-appropriate Meimei), we use that only to filter the directory and do not store it as personal information about a specific child.
Your rights
You can:
- Ask what information we hold about you — message us and we'll send you what we have
- Ask us to correct or delete your information — message us and we'll do it within 14 days
- Stop hearing from us — tell us and we'll stop contacting you
International transfers
We are based in Fiji. If you contact us from Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the US, or elsewhere, your information will be sent to and stored on systems that may be located outside your country. By using this site, you consent to this transfer.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when it was last revised. Significant changes will be flagged on our homepage.
